UN Security Council to Hold Session on Afghanistan
DID Press: UN Security Council will hold a session focused on Afghanistan in September.

During the meeting, Roza Otunbayeva, UN Secretary-General’s Special Representative for Afghanistan and Head of UNAMA, will present her latest and last report on the country to the Council members.
Additionally, a representative from civil society and the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights will deliver remarks on the situation in Afghanistan.
Following the public session, closed-door discussions among Council members will continue to examine various aspects of developments in Afghanistan.
