Karzai Urges Immediate National, International Aid to Quake Victims

DID Press: Former Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai expressed deep sorrow over the human losses and damages caused by the recent earthquake in several provinces, demanding urgent action by national and international organizations to assist those affected.

The devastating quake shook large areas of Kunar, Nangarhar, Laghman, Nuristan, Panjshir provinces, and other regions, causing significant casualties and damage.

Hamid Karzai, in a statement, extended condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims.

He urged charitable organizations, national businesses, and international aid agencies to take swift and effective measures to address the immediate needs of the earthquake-affected population.

Karzai emphasized that, in these difficult conditions, the affected people need humanitarian support and solidarity more than ever. He also prayed for the deceased, a speedy recovery for the injured, patience and resilience for grieving families.
