DID Press: A powerful explosion reportedly occurred Tuesday, September 2,, at a security facility in northwestern Pakistan.
According to Pakistani police, the blast took place when a suicide bomber rammed an explosive-laden vehicle into the gate of a local Frontier Constabulary, shaking the Bannu district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
Following the explosion, gunfire and multiple secondary blasts were reported, as insurgents reportedly entered the security installation.
Security forces have surrounded the area, and operations against the militants are ongoing.
Three Pakistani security personnel have been injured, and several militants have been killed, so far.
