Kabul Requests Kazakhstan to Expand Educational Cooperation
DID Press: Following Nadim Ahmad Nadim, Acting Minister of Higher Education of the Taliban caretaker government meeting with Kazakh ambassador in Kabul, Nadim requested Kazakhstan’s support to strengthen Afghanistan’s higher education system, send faculty members, and equip universities.

Nadim asked Kazakh ambassador to collaborate with Afghanistan in areas such as: sending Kazakh professors to Afghanistan universities, equipping university laboratories, enhancing the education system, conducting training courses for Afghanistan faculty, and constructing educational facilities.
He also emphasized the importance of joint programs at the master’s and PhD levels between Afghanistani and Kazakh universities, saying that strengthening higher education is a key priority for the current government.
In response, Giziz Akbasov assured that he will pass on these requests to Kazakh authorities.
Highlighting the shared cultural, religious, and historical ties between the two countries, he hoped these relations reach a higher level of scientific and cultural cooperation.
Kazakh ambassador also offered condolences to the families of victims of the recent earthquake in eastern Afghanistan, saying:
“As a Muslim country and neighbor, Kazakhstan stands alongside the people of Afghanistan.”
