Magnitude 4.7 Quake Jolts Afghanistan’s Nangarhar, Kunar Again
DID Press: A magnitude 4.7 earthquake struck eastern Afghanistan on Thursday morning, shaking parts of Nangarhar and Kunar provinces.

According to U.S. Geological Survey, the quake occurred at a depth of 13 kilometers near Jalalabad city at around 9:45 a.m. local time. Witnesses described the tremor as “very quick.”
The incident comes just days after a deadly quake hit Kunar on Sunday night. Since then, at least four smaller tremors have been recorded across Kunar and Nangarhar.
There are no immediate reports of casualties or damage following Thursday’s earthquake.
