Ready for Cooperation with Afghanistan amid Crisis, says Iran

DID Press: Iran’s Interior Minister conveyed condolences to his Afghanistani counterpart over the recent earthquake in eastern Afghanistan, expressing full readiness to provide assistance and cooperation during this difficult situation.

Following the devastating quake that killed and injured thousands in the eastern provinces, Eskandar Momeni, Iran’s Interior Minister, sent an official message to Sirajuddin Haqqani, Acting Interior Minister of the Taliban caretaker government. In his message, he expressed sympathy and condolences to the victims’ families and stressed that Iran stands ready to offer any form of support.

“I am confident that with the efforts of Afghanistan government and the solidarity of its resilient people, the impact of this tragedy will be overcome as soon as possible,” said Momeni.
