Jamiat-e-Islami Afghanistan Stresses National Solidarity, Continued Struggle

DID Press: On the eve of Martyrs’ Week, the High Decision-Making Council of Afghanistan’s Islamic Society issued a statement stressing the need for political unity within the movement and the continuation of political, civil, and military resistance against the Taliban caretaker government. The council said that the country’s salvation is possible only through national solidarity and the formation of a broad, unified political front.

The council affirmed that its efforts across political, civil, and social spheres will continue in a coordinated and united manner.

The statement highlighted the prominent roles of figures such as Atta Mohammad Noor, Ahmad Massoud, Mohammad Ismail Khan, Mohammad Yunus Qanuni, Hazrat Ali, Mohammad Alam Izadyar, and other members, declaring that the path of struggle and resistance will proceed in full unity according to the Islamic Society’s new roadmap.

The Islamic Society also called on other political parties, leaders, and movements in Afghanistan to join them responsibly and faithfully in efforts to save the country and change the nation’s destiny.

The statement concluded that confronting the current situation is only possible through the establishment of a unified and comprehensive political front.
