Netanyahu Renews Threats against Doha; Qatar Warns Regional Response Coming
DID Press: Qatar’s PM and FM condemned Israel’s airstrike on Doha, calling it an attempt to assassinate Hamas leaders, and warned that “a regional response is on the way.”

“We appreciate President Trump’s strong stance regarding the Israeli bombing, but it must translate into concrete action. Netanyahu wasted our time in the mediation process and was not serious. I have no words strong enough to describe the anger over this attack, which was state terrorism,” Qatari official said in an interview with CNN.
“Qatar is consulting with regional partners and expects “a real response that will put an end to Israel’s aggression,” he added, stressing that “Netanyahu must be brought to justice”. He underlined that the Israeli leader is wanted by the International Criminal Court.
At the same time, Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu repeated threats against Doha, saying that if Qatar did not expel or prosecute Hamas officials, Israel will act unilaterally. He compared Israel’s strikes to U.S. actions after the September 11 attacks, and described countries condemning Israel as “shameful.”
Qatar’s foreign ministry issued a statement strongly rejecting Netanyahu’s remarks about hosting Hamas offices in Doha, describing them as “outrageous” and calling the Israeli strike on Qatari soil “cowardly.”
The ministry added that Qatar’s hosting of a Hamas office was done at the request of Washington and Tel Aviv, within the framework of past mediation efforts.
