Afghanistani Student Invents Anti-Sleep Glasses to Reduce Road Accidents

DID Press: An Afghanistani engineering student has designed smart glasses that issue audio alerts to wake drowsy drivers, aiming to prevent traffic accidents on the country’s roads.

Adabullah Eshan-zada, a final-year electrical engineering student at Kabul Polytechnic University, announced that he has developed “anti-sleep” glasses. The device is designed to automatically trigger a sound alarm whenever a driver’s eyes close during a trip, helping them stay awake and alert.

Eshan-zada said his main goal is to curb high rate of road accidents caused by driver fatigue, which claims numerous lives in Afghanistan each year.

Experts note that if mass-produced, the invention can significantly enhance road safety and help reduce traffic-related fatalities across the country.
