Irish President: Israel, Its Military Allies Should Be Expelled from UN

DID Press: Irish President Michael D. Higgins called for Israel and the countries supplying it with weapons to be expelled from the United Nations, urging an immediate end to trade with those responsible for what he described as crimes against humanity.

“We must no longer hesitate to end trade with the perpetrators of these crimes against our fellow human beings,” Higgins said. He criticized several European Union’s most powerful states due to remaining silent in the face of what he called a humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza, particularly the suffering of malnourished children.
