Sheikh Naim Qassem: Israel’s Fall Is Inevitable

DID Press: On the anniversary of the “pager” explosions that wounded numerous members of the resistance, Hezbollah’s secretary-general praised their steadfastness and insisted that the Israeli regime will ultimately collapse and that final victory will belong to the resistance.

Sheikh Naim Qassem delivered the remarks on Wednesday, 26 Sanbela (the sixth month of the solar Persian calendar).

In a speech marking the first anniversary of the “pager” blasts — which he described as an “outright crime” by the Israeli regime — Qassem addressed the wounded, saying: “With insight beyond mere sight, you continue on the path of jihad and resistance, and victory is yours.”

Stressing the vital role of the wounded in sustaining the resistance, he added: “The enemy tried to remove you from the field, but your steadfastness and presence across multiple arenas have proved that effort a failure. Your path continues, and the jihadi value of what you do despite your wounds is exalted.”

Qassem outlined three key messages: overcoming wounds and enduring hardship; maintaining hope for the future and conveying an illuminating spirit to society; and persisting in education, social work and media activity despite restrictions. “This wounded jihad,” he said, “is an expression of light, sacrifice and exaltation.”

He concluded by calling the wounded the heirs of the martyrs’ path and reiterated his position on Israel: “Israel is an occupying, aggressive regime that will certainly fall. You are the standard-bearers of the final victory — the future belongs to you.”
