Taliban Government Begins Pension Payments for Retirees of Seven State Institutions

DID Press: Ministry of Finance of the Taliban caretaker government has released a schedule for the disbursement of pensions to retirees from seven government institutions.

According to the ministry, the distribution process, which began on (August 23), is ongoing.

Pensions are currently being paid to retirees of the Independent Authority for Land Administration, the Ministry of Women’s Affairs, the State Ministry for Parliamentary Affairs, the Meshrano Jirga (Upper House), the Wolesi Jirga (Lower House), the National Olympic Committee, and the Directorate for the Protection of Senior Government Officials.

The ministry added that the payment schedule for retirees of other government bodies will be announced on (October 17) of this year.
