Trump Proposes Muslim-Arab Leaders to Deploy Troops to Gaza

DID Press: US President Donald Trump met with leaders of Muslim and Arab countries on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York on Tuesday, suggesting that Islamic military forces be deployed to Gaza Strip.

Trump described the meeting as his “most important” during the Assembly. Attending were Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Jordan’s King Abdullah II, Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan, Indonesian President Joko Widodo, UAE Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly.

Speaking to reporters at the start of the session, Trump said: “We want to end the war in Gaza. We can end it right now.” He also praised President Widodo’s General Assembly speech emphasizing Israel’s security as essential for lasting peace.

The 50-minute meeting focused on the situation in Gaza and the broader Middle East.

U.S. media previously reported that Trump intends to ask Arab and Muslim countries to send troops to facilitate Israel’s withdrawal and participate financially in reconstruction and governance.

While the leaders shared their own proposals for peace, no joint plan was announced at the conclusion of the meeting.
