DID Press: French President Emmanuel Macron told U.S. President Donald Trump on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly that Israel’s efforts to fully eliminate Hamas have not succeeded despite nearly two years of conflict.
Macron emphasized that while Israel has removed some senior Hamas leaders—a significant achievement—the number of fighters in the group remains largely unchanged from the start of the conflict.
“Therefore, complete destruction or dismantling Hamas is not possible,” he added.
