Male Dentists Barred from Treating Women in Kandahar
DID Press: Under new directives from acting Taliban authorities, male dentists in Kandahar province have been prohibited from treating female patients in dental clinics.

Local sources reported on Thursday, September 3, that officials from the provincial Taliban’s Vice and Virtue Department forced women out of dental clinics. According to residents, Taliban instructed clinics that women should no longer receive treatment from male doctors.
The move comes amid warnings from international organizations about life-threatening risks faced by over 11,000 women in earthquake-affected areas due to limited access to medical professionals. Lack of healthcare facilities and female medical staff continues to pose a significant challenge for the Taliban administration.
