Shahbaz Sharif Urges Taliban to Take Action against Terrorist Groups
DID Press: Pakistani PM Shahbaz Sharif has called on Afghanistan’s Taliban authorities to take concrete steps to prevent terrorist groups from operating on Afghanistan soil, particularly those targeting Pakistan.

Speaking before the UNGA, Sharif urged the Taliban interim government to act decisively against militant organizations using Afghanistan as a base for cross-border attacks.
He said groups such as Tahrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and Baloch Liberation Movement are using Afghanistan territory as safe havens and operational bases.
“These groups have been responsible for some of the deadliest attacks in Pakistan,” Sharif said, stressing that firm action must be taken against them as soon as possible.
The Pakistani prime minister further emphasized that Taliban must ensure Afghanistan soil is not used for attacks against any country.
