Internet Blackout Leaves 200 Iranian Trucks Stranded at Afghanistan Border
DID Press: Mahmoud Siyyadat, head of the Iran–Afghanistan Joint Chamber of Commerce, said that around 200 Iranian transit trucks loaded with commercial goods remain stranded at border crossings due to Afghanistan’s nationwide internet shutdown and the Taliban leader’s policy of restricting internet access.

The ongoing disruption of internet and telecommunications services across Afghanistan, following other restrictive measures by the Taliban authorities, has caused significant logistical and economic difficulties in recent days.
According to Siyyadat, the affected trucks are stuck at the Milak and Dogharoon border crossings amid severe communication and customs-processing problems. He expressed hope that the issues would be resolved soon, as domestic protests and public pressure increase over the internet restrictions.
