Claims of US Soldier’s Return to Bagram Denied

DID Press: Reports suggesting that former U.S. Army soldier Travis Mills has returned to Bagram Airfield in northern Kabul have been debunked, with sources confirming the widely circulated photo is several years old.

Some media outlets recently published an image of a U.S. soldier, claiming it showed Mills back in Afghanistan. However, verification by reliable news sources indicates that the photo dates back to 2011, when Mills was still serving in Afghanistan.

That year, Mills lost both legs and one arm in a mine explosion and has not returned to combat since.

The image had previously been republished by outlets such as the Daily Mail in 2014 and bears no connection to current conditions at Bagram or ongoing military operations in Afghanistan.
