Trump: 80% of Regional Countries Support Gaza Peace Plan
DID Press: US President Donald Trump claimed a “historic shift” in regional positions toward a Gaza peace agreement, saying that nearly all Arab and Muslim countries now support the initiative.

“In the past, about 80 percent of the countries in the region opposed such an agreement,” Trump said. “But now things have changed. We have even received strong indications from Iran showing a desire to see the deal finalized.”
Trump added that Hamas holds “great respect” for the leaders of Turkey, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia, noting that all of these countries are actively working toward a peace settlement. According to him, “such a consensus in the Middle East is unprecedented.”
“I spoke with [Turkish President] Recep Tayyip Erdoğan — he is a strong leader and is working hard to make this deal happen,” Trump continued. “Tens of thousands of people across the region want to see the hostages freed and this situation end. I believe we are close to achieving an agreement that will last. This is not just about Gaza — it’s about peace in the Middle East.”
