Missing US Scientist Unaware of 2025 Nobel Medicine Prize

DID Press: While the 2025 Nobel Prize ceremonies continue in Stockholm, one of the winners of the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine remains unreachable. Fred Ramsdell, an American researcher, is reportedly exploring a remote area in Idaho and has not yet been informed of his award.

Ramsdell, along with Mary Brunkow of the United States and Shimon Sakaguchi of Japan, received the 2025 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for their joint research on the body’s response mechanisms to infections. Efforts by the Nobel Committee and media to contact Ramsdell have so far been unsuccessful.

The Nobel ceremonies continue with today’s announcement of the Physics Prize winners. In the coming days, the Chemistry, Literature, and Peace Prizes will be awarded. Former U.S. President Donald Trump has also claimed that he should receive the Nobel Peace Prize.

The Nobel season concludes next week with the award in Economics. Each laureate receives a gold medal, a diploma, and a cash prize of 11 million Swedish kronor (approximately 1.2 million U.S. dollars).
