Taliban: Afghanistan’s Territorial Integrity Policy Crystal Clear
DID Press: Following recent comments by U.S. President Donald Trump regarding Bagram Airbase, Taliban’s ambassador in Moscow emphasized that there is no cause for concern and that the group’s policy on Afghanistan’s territorial integrity is firm and transparent.

Gul Hassan, Taliban’s acting ambassador to Russia, told reporters: “The Taliban’s policy on the country’s territorial integrity is clear and unambiguous. Bagram is part of Afghanistan’s soil and remains under the control of our government. There is no reason for concern.”
Trump had previously warned that “bad things” may happen if Bagram Airbase is not returned to the United States, remarks that drew responses from regional and international officials.
Hassan described such claims as baseless and said they will have no impact on the Taliban’s domestic or foreign policies.
Bagram Airbase, which served for years as the main hub for U.S. and NATO forces in Afghanistan, fell under Taliban control after foreign troop withdrawals in 2021 and is now regarded as a symbol of Afghanistan’s independence from foreign presence.
