Israeli Forces Attack Freedom Fleet in International Waters Near Gaza

DID Press: Israeli military forces reportedly attacked nine ships of the “Freedom Fleet” in international waters on Wednesday evening, according to early media reports. The fleet was attempting to break the blockade of Gaza.

The ships, located about 120 nautical miles from the Gaza Strip, were said to be carrying humanitarian aid for residents of the besieged territory. Live streams of the vessels broadcast on social media and independent media outlets were abruptly cut off, while the status of crew members and extent of damages remain unclear.

The Freedom Fleet, organized by international human rights groups and activists, has previously faced threats and attacks from Israeli forces during past attempts to breach Gaza naval blockade.

Israeli authorities have not yet issued an official response to the reports, raising concerns over the safety of those on board.
