DID Press: A suicide attack followed by an armed clashes at a police training center in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province has left several people dead and injured, according to reports.

Security sources in Pakistan said a car bomb exploded near the entrance of the training facility on Friday evening, after which several armed assailants stormed the building. The ensuing firefight between the attackers and security forces lasted for more than six hours.
Military sources confirmed that seven Pakistani security personnel were killed, while more than 200 people at the site were rescued. Six attackers were reportedly killed during the operation.
However, some local sources have reported much higher casualty figures, claiming that around 50 people may have been killed.
Pakistani security officials have confirmed the end of the confrontation but said clearance operations are still underway, with further details to be released following a full investigation.
