Taliban Asserts Afghanistan’s Borders Secure Following Putin’s Warning of Threats
DID Press: Taliban government has dismissed recent concerns raised by Russian President Vladimir Putin over Afghanistan’s security situation, saying the country’s borders are “fully secure” and pose no threat to neighboring states.

In a statement, Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said Afghanistan is committed to safeguarding its frontiers with all neighboring countries, particularly Tajikistan, and that there are no security concerns along the borders.
“We assure that Afghan soil will not be used to create insecurity or threaten any country or individual. Our borders are under full control, and complete coordination exists to ensure their security,” Mujahid said.
His remarks came after President Putin, speaking at the CIS summit in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, warned of ongoing security challenges in Afghanistan and urged for strong security measures along the Afghan–Tajik border.
Putin acknowledged Taliban’s efforts to stabilize the situation but said effective border security remains essential for regional stability.
