Hamas Delegation Meets Red Cross on Gaza Captive Transfer

DID Press: Sources close to Hamas say a delegation from the movement will meet tonight with representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) to finalize details of the transfer of Israeli captives through three designated routes within the Gaza Strip.

According to Al Jazeera, a member of Hamas’s political bureau said the group has held extensive communications with mediators regarding the list of Palestinian prisoners to be released in exchange. He added that, despite objections from the occupying regime, mediators continue efforts to finalize the list.

The Hamas official stressed that the resistance factions reaffirmed their commitment to releasing the Israeli captives according to the agreed timetable and that the counting process for identifying living captives has been completed.

The Hamas delegation and ICRC representatives are expected to discuss tonight the operational mechanism for the handover, which, according to reports, will take place through three separate routes in the Gaza Strip.
