DID Press: While Khaled Qaddoumi, the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) representative in Tehran, stressed the continuation of the struggle and the retention of the resistance’s arms, reports from Gaza say Hamas has deployed thousands of security personnel to the streets to restore control and calm across the enclave.

Khaled Qaddoumi said: “The Palestinian people have lost faith in international organizations, and we will not allow the weapons to leave the resistance.” Marking the second anniversary of Operation Al-Aqsa Storm, he described the current phase as a new chapter of jihad and steadfastness against the occupation and added: “We have announced our red lines; crossings must be opened and Israeli forces must withdraw from the occupied lands.”
Alongside these political statements, movements on the ground in the Gaza Strip indicate that Hamas, under a plan called the “general mobilization,” has stationed more than 7,000 security personnel to restore order and authority in various areas of the enclave. Local sources said some units are operating in official police uniform while others are present in civilian clothes in neighborhoods to confront infiltrators and those who collaborated with the occupiers during the war.
A Hamas official told media: “We will not leave Gaza to become prey to militias or enemy collaborators. The resistance’s weapons are legitimate and will remain until the end of the occupation.”
These developments indicate that, alongside diplomatic and political activity, the Palestinian resistance continues to emphasize maintaining field capabilities and internal security in Gaza as a central pillar of its ongoing struggle.
