Araqchi: Iran Not Share Table with Those “Sanctioning” its People

DID Press: Iran’s FM Abbas Araqchi said Tehran declined to attend international summit in Sharm el-Sheikh, stressing that the Islamic Republic will not engage with countries that have acted against the Iranian people and continue to threaten and impose sanctions.

Araqchi said that Iran seeks constructive engagement in international affairs, but not at the expense of its dignity, security, or national interests.

“When some of the invitees themselves are sources of regional instability and enmity toward the Iranian nation, naturally, Iran has no place in such gatherings,” he added.

He reaffirmed that Iran’s diplomacy is founded on mutual respect, emphasizing that genuine and constructive dialogue cannot take place while hostile policies toward Iran persist.
