‘You Are Not Alone’: Taliban Express Solidarity with Palestinian Resistance

DID Press: As a ceasefire takes effect in Gaza Strip, accounts affiliated with Afghanistan’s Taliban government have released a video message from Interior Minister Sirajuddin Haqqani expressing solidarity with the Palestinian people.

In the video, Haqqani assures Palestinians that “the nation of Palestine is not alone in the path of jihad and resistance,” urging them to remain steadfast and hopeful.

Drawing parallels with Afghanistan’s own history, Haqqani said: “Do not lose heart. Just as the mujahid nation of Afghanistan, after fifty years of crisis, war, and invasion, achieved victory by the grace of Almighty God, you too will one day celebrate the Eid of freedom.”

Pro-Taliban social media accounts described the video as a symbol of the group’s continued alignment with the Palestinian cause. The Taliban have previously issued multiple statements voicing verbal support for Palestinian resistance.
