Bloomberg: China Conducted Decade-Long Cyber Espionage on UK Servers
DID Press: Bloomberg, citing British officials, has reported that Chinese state-linked entities systematically infiltrated UK government’s classified computer networks for more than a decade, gaining access to highly sensitive information.

According to the report, British security authorities said cyber units affiliated with the Chinese government had used sophisticated hacking techniques to penetrate segments of London’s confidential government systems over at least past ten years.
Large-scale operation provided access to servers containing classified data on the United Kingdom’s foreign policy, defense, and economic strategies, said sources familiar with the investigation.
A senior official at the UK Home Office told Bloomberg: “This is one of the deepest and most prolonged cyber intrusions in the history of the British government. The full extent of the breach is only now beginning to emerge.”
Ongoing security investigations are examining whether the data obtained by China influenced London’s diplomatic or economic decision-making, the official added.
The UK government has not yet officially commented, but the matter is expected to be urgently reviewed in the upcoming Parliament session.
