Pakistani Youth at Risk in Tensions with Afghanistan, Warns Fazl-ur-Rehman
DID Press: Fazl-ur-Rehman, leader of Pakistan’s Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI), has sharply criticized Islamabad’s military policies, warning that certain influential circles within the government are pushing the country toward a pointless war with Afghanistan.

Speaking at a public gathering, Fazl-ur-Rehman denounced the military and security establishment for manipulating narratives that send Pakistani youth to their deaths.
“Through manufactured heroic stories, the authorities are justifying military involvement in regional conflicts, misleading public opinion without valid cause,” he said.
He stressed the importance of restraint and calm, urging both Pakistan and Afghanistan to end tensions and pursue dialogue.
“This war benefits neither Islamabad nor Kabul, and will only harm the people of both countries,” Fazl-ur-Rehman emphasized.
The JUI leader also warned that certain influential factions within Pakistan’s government aim to escalate the conflict further—a development he said could jeopardize Pakistan’s future stability.
