Afghani Exchange Rate Trends Upward
DID Press: Following a significant drop yesterday, the Afghani gained nearly one percent today (October 19), climbing to 1,630 tomans.

In Tehran’s currency market, the Afghani, which fell by 40 tomans to 1,615 yesterday (Saturday, October 18, 2025), rebounded by 15 tomans today (Sunday, October 19, 2025), representing a 0.93% increase.
Over the past 24 hours, the currency experienced fluctuating trading, with the lowest recorded buying and selling rates at 1,595 tomans and the highest at 1,655 tomans.
In recent weeks, the foreign exchange market has been influenced by regional developments, variations in remittance demand, and changes in Iran’s central bank policies. Currencies such as the Afghani, widely traded along the eastern borders, have become increasingly volatile.
