UN: 660,000 Children Denied Education in Gaza amid Conflict
DID Press: United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) said Tuesday that around 660,000 Palestinian children in Gaza have been denied access to education due to the ongoing war.

UNRWA said the children have been forced to leave formal schooling because of continued fighting, widespread school destruction, and unsafe conditions across the Gaza Strip.
The agency added that, in coordination with international and local partners, it has designed programs and capacity-building measures to gradually restore formal education. However, the effort requires a safe environment and the removal of humanitarian and logistical barriers.
UNRWA stressed that the right to education should not be sacrificed to military conflict and urged the international community to take responsibility in protecting the future of Palestinian children.
