Gaza Health System Crumbles as No Medical Supplies Arrive Since Truce

DID Press: Gaza Health Ministry has reported that several weeks after the ceasefire, no shipments of medicine, medical equipment, or devices have entered the territory, leaving the health system in a critical state.

The ministry said that since the ceasefire was declared, the medical infrastructure remains on the verge of collapse, with hospitals continuing to face severe shortages of drugs, fuel, and essential equipment.

In a statement, the ministry stressed that despite the halt in hostilities, the humanitarian situation in Gaza has not improved. Urgent medical supplies required for laboratory tests and emergency surgeries have yet to arrive.

Officials added that over 18,500 patients needing immediate treatment outside Gaza have completed travel arrangements but are still awaiting exit permits.

Health authorities warned that without flow of medical aid and medicines, the number of casualties from insufficient healthcare services will surge.
