New Police Radio Station Opens in Khost to Boost Community-Police Ties
DID Press: A new branch of Police Radio has officially opened in Khost province, aiming to enhance coordination and trust between local communities and law enforcement.

Taliban Ministry of Interior said the Khost branch of Police Radio operates under the General Directorate of Public Relations and is intended to reinforce communication between citizens and police personnel.
The inauguration ceremony was held at Khost’s provincial police headquarters and attended by Abdul Hakim Himmat Akhundzada, Director General of Public Relations at the Ministry of Interior; Mufti Abdul Mateen Qane, ministry spokesperson; Mahboob Shah Qanat, Deputy Governor of Khost; Abdullah Hamad, provincial police commander; and other officials.
During the event, Mufti Abdul Mateen Qane said that Police Radio serves as a valuable platform for broadcasting the achievements and activities of Islamic law enforcement institutions. He emphasized that opening the Khost branch would help build greater cooperation and trust between the public and the police.
Khost Police Radio will operate 24 hours a day and is set to broadcast diverse programs covering social, cultural, economic, educational, and reform-oriented topics for its listeners.
