Pakistan Warns of TTP Integration into Afghan Taliban Government
DID Press: Pakistan’s Information Minister, Attaullah Tarar, said the Taliban have not only supported Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) but have also integrated some members of the group into the Afghan Taliban government following their return to power in Afghanistan. He further warned that Afghanistsn territory is being used against Pakistan, and that certain attacks inside Pakistan involved direct participation of Afghan citizens.

In his recent remarks, Tarar claimed that after regaining power in Afghanistan, the Taliban continued full support from TTP, and several TTP members have been incorporated into the Afghan government structure.
During a televised interview, the minister emphasized that some attacks on Pakistani soil were carried out with direct involvement of Afghan nationals and that sufficient documentation and evidence support these claims.
Referring to rising tensions between the two countries, Tarar added: “Afghanistan cannot confront Pakistan in a conventional war; we have defeated an enemy four times stronger than Afghanistan.”
These statements come amid renewed talks between Taliban and Pakistani delegations in Turkey, following a previously inconclusive round of negotiations. Mediation efforts by Turkey and Qatar have now restarted the discussions.
