3 Afghanistani Migrants, Including Two Infants, Die Returning from Pakistan
DID Press: 3 Afghanistani migrants — including two infants and one woman — died from hunger and illness after days of harsh conditions at the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, local officials in Kandahar province confirmed. The families had been stranded for 15 days at the Chaman crossing before returning through Spin Boldak on Saturday.

The two babies, aged two and three months, reportedly died from severe malnutrition and exhaustion, while the woman — who fell ill during the prolonged wait — died shortly after entering Afghanistan. Another child also died in a migrant camp in Chaman after falling to the ground, according to local sources.
The deaths come amid mass deportations of Afghanistani migrants from Pakistan and the closure of border crossings following recent military tensions between the two countries. Aid agencies have warned of a mounting humanitarian catastrophe as thousands of families remain trapped without food, medical care, or shelter.
