Afghanistani Migrant Climbers Raise National Flag on Orjin Peak in Iran

DID Press: Community organizers reported that 17 Afghanistani climbers — including both men and women — reached the summit of Orjin Peak in the Kolugan region of Lavasan during a 12-hour mountaineering mission.

The ascent was organized with the participation and supervision of the Afghanistan National Olympic Committee’s representative office in Iran.

Participants dedicated the climb to the Afghanistan U-17 national futsal team, which recently won the Asian championship, calling the achievement a moment of pride for Afghanistan people around the world.

Organizers said the goal of the event was to promote teamwork, friendship, and positivity among young Afghanistani migrants in Iran, while showcasing the determination and unity of the Afghanistani diaspora community.
