DID Press: Dmitry Peskov, spokesperson for the Russian presidency, said Moscow expects Washington to clarify President Donald Trump’s recent statements regarding nuclear testing. Last week, Trump reportedly instructed the Pentagon to immediately begin nuclear tests, claiming that Russia and China continue to test their arsenals.

“We have not yet received any explanation from the American side; neither Russia nor China has conducted any nuclear tests,” Peskov told RT.
“Moscow and Beijing emphasize the importance of all countries adhering to their obligations under the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty,” he added.
“At present, unfortunately, we cannot say what the U.S. leader meant by these remarks,” Peskov concluded.
