Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan Lead Israel’s Oil Supplies amid Gaza Conflict
DID Press: A recent report by an international organization indicates that during the ongoing Gaza conflict, Israel’s oil imports have not slowed as Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan supplying the majority of the country’s energy needs.

According to the report, over the past nearly two years, approximately 70 percent of Israel’s crude oil imports have come from these two countries, highlighting Tel Aviv’s ability to maintain its energy supply network even during heightened regional tensions.
The report notes that a total of 25 countries continued to export oil and petroleum products to Israel during the conflict. Experts say this level of trade demonstrates that global oil commerce is largely unaffected by on-the-ground crises, with economic interests continuing to dominate energy relations between nations.
The report’s authors emphasize that insufficient transparency in energy trade during wartime can influence the course of conflicts and their humanitarian consequences, calling on governments to be accountable for their roles in the energy supply chain.
