Taliban: Young Afghan Athletes Bring Pride on Global Stage

DID Press: A spokesperson for the Taliban’s Ministry of Interior praised the achievements of Afghanistan’s young athletes, saying their victories in international competitions showcase the country’s capabilities and bring pride to the Afghan people.

The statement highlighted Yusuf Jahangir, a young Afghan athlete who won the championship in the Muay Thai competition at the Islamic Countries Games, describing his success as a reflection of the growing sports talent and potential of Afghanistan’s new generation.

The spokesperson emphasized that such international successes present a positive and hopeful image of Afghanistan to the world, demonstrating that despite challenges, the country’s youth can compete at the highest levels.
