Taliban: Over 300 Migrants Detained Attempting Illegal Entry into Iran
DID Press: Taliban’s 207 Al-Farooq Corps says it has detained at least 315 people over the past week as they attempted to cross illegally into Iran—part of tightened border controls in western Afghanistan.

Officials said the purpose of the arrests is to secure the borders and prevent unlawful movement. Taliban forces in recent weeks have repeatedly stopped Afghan migrants in border areas of Herat and returned them to their home provinces.
The crackdown comes as thousands of Afghan migrants are being sent back from Iran and Pakistan every day, a trend that has raised concern among international organizations about the conditions facing returnees under Taliban rule.
