Herat Hosting Annual Saffron Exhibition Showcasing Local Harvest

DID Press: The annual saffron exhibition in Herat province has opened its doors, bringing together dozens of producers from across the province to showcase this season’s fresh harvest. The event will welcome visitors for three days.

This year’s exhibition features a larger space and 72 booths presenting fresh saffron flowers, threads, and related products. Dozens of farmers and saffron producers have brought their freshly harvested crops to the event, offering direct access for buyers to evaluate quality and variety.

Organizers emphasized that the main goal of the exhibition is to provide farmers with direct exposure to both domestic and international buyers, creating new business opportunities and promoting the region’s saffron industry. By displaying fresh flowers alongside processed products, visitors can compare quality and gain a deeper understanding of Herat’s production capabilities.
