Taliban Remove Barriers Around Dr. Abdullah’s Residence
DID Press: Taliban forces have removed concrete barriers surrounding the home of Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, the former head of Afghanistan’s High Council for National Reconciliation, in a move that reportedly involved tense encounters with security personnel.

Local sources confirmed that on Monday, (Nov. 24), Taliban authorities began dismantling the concrete barriers around Dr. Abdullah’s residence. Witnesses said that protective guards were also withdrawn and security personnel relieved of their duties.
So far, neither Taliban officials nor Dr. Abdullah have issued official comments regarding the action.
The removal of the barriers follows a broader recent Taliban effort to dismantle security obstacles in certain parts of Kabul.
