Taliban: Identity Verification Services to Expand for Afghan Migrants in Iran
DID Press: Acting head of the Taliban-led Civil Registration Authority announced during a visit to Iran that the expansion of identity verification teams in various cities will increase services for Afghan migrants and accelerate the issuance of identity documents.

The National Statistics and Information Authority of the Taliban government said that services related to identity verification for Afghan migrants in Iran are set to expand.
The announcement followed the visit of Mohammad Nabi Nasrat, acting head of the Civil Registration Authority, to Iran, where he inspected active centers in Mashhad, Zahedan, and Tehran.
During the visit, Nasrat closely monitored the identity verification process for Afghan migrants and gave instructions to on-site teams to speed up operations and improve coordination.
The Taliban government aims to streamline the issuance of birth certificates and identity cards for Afghan migrants by strengthening technical teams and increasing resources, he added.
National Statistics and Information Authority, responsible for civil registration and distribution of paper and electronic ID cards inside and outside Afghanistan, reported that thousands of Afghan citizens in Iran receive daily services.
According to the announced plan, after completing the identity verification process, Afghan migrants will be issued special three-year ID cards. The Taliban government said that expanding the work of specialized teams in Iran will accelerate this initiative
