Taliban Approves 11 Infrastructure Projects Worth 1.5B Afghanis
DID Press: In a meeting of the National Procurement Commission chaired by Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, the Taliban administration approved 11 infrastructure and service projects valued at 1.538 billion Afghanis.

The projects include the ninth phase of reinforcement works in Yatimtapa district, Takhār province; renovation of the runway at Firoz Koh Airport in Ghor; maintenance contracts for Kabul Airport; construction of over 17 kilometers of the Dahna Ghori road in Baghlan; and the Zarghran–Ghardiz road in Paktika.
Additionally, the projects cover procurement of mining equipment for the state-owned Northern Coal Mining Company, vehicles for the Afghan Tour company, construction and installation of substations from Qarabagh and Moqur to Shahjoy, electrification of Musahe district, and a contract for surveying, designing, and testing a 220-kilovolt substation in Barikab, Kabul province.
Officials stated that these projects aim to improve infrastructure, energy access, and economic activities across multiple regions.
