B Vitamins May Boost Mood and Reduce Anxiety

A 2025 study found that a diet rich in these vitamins is associated with a lower risk of cognitive decline and dementia. Research on healthy adults also suggests that regular intake of B vitamins over several months can improve overall mental well‑being and psychological health.

In individuals with depression, low blood levels of these vitamins have been linked to cognitive impairments and more severe depressive symptoms. Clinical trials have shown that Vitamin B6 supplementation can significantly reduce anxiety and feelings of depression, possibly by enhancing inhibitory neurotransmitter (GABA) activity in the brain.
