Vegetable Oil Factory Worth $2M Opens in Nangarhar

DID Press: A new vegetable oil factory, “Al-Me’yar,” has been inaugurated in Nangarhar province with an investment of $2 million. The facility has been established for processing oilseeds and has a daily production capacity of up to 200 tons.

Factory officials said that the majority of raw materials are sourced domestically, a move expected to strengthen the local market and create increased economic opportunities for farmers in the region.

At the same time, the factory’s opening has created dozens of direct employment opportunities.

Local industry and trade authorities described the launch of the facility as an important step toward the development of domestic production and emphasized that the Taliban government will continue supporting investors and promoting local industries.
