Tokayev: Global Support for Afghanistan Vital for Regional Stability

DID Press: Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev stressed that international support for Afghanistan is essential to ensuring regional security and stability.

Speaking at the “Peace and Trust” conference in Ashgabat, Tokayev said reconstruction of Afghanistan and addressing its humanitarian challenges are critical not only for the country itself but for Asia and the wider region.

He also announced the launch of a Regional Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Center in Almaty, reaffirming Kazakhstan’s commitment to supporting Afghanistan in areas including education, trade, food security, and humanitarian assistance.
