World Bank: Afghanistan’s Economy to Grow 4.3% in 2025
DID Press: Afghanistan’s economy is experiencing positive growth for the second consecutive year, with projections indicating that this trend will continue into 2025, reported World Bank.

In its latest report, the World Bank said improving economic indicators and declining inflation have contributed to the country’s gradual economic recovery.
According to the Bank’s forecast, Afghanistan’s gross domestic product (GDP) is expected to grow by 4.3 percent in 2025, up from 2.5 percent growth last year, marking a notable increase.
The report highlights that higher domestic revenues and more effective tax collection by the authorities have played a key role in strengthening economic stability.
The World Bank also noted that the large-scale return of migrants and rapid population growth have boosted economic activity, particularly in the services sector and private businesses.
While acknowledging ongoing challenges, the Bank said these developments point to signs of gradual economic improvement, warning that sustaining growth will depend on continued stability, investment, and improved resource management in the years ahead.
