23 Tons of Drugs set on Fire in Herat

The Afghan security forces burned 23 tons of drugs Wednesday in Herat province.
“The narcotic drug worth $ 17 thousand,” said Herat’s police chief Mohammad Ayub Ansari, adding that “we have taken plans to fight smugglers in the province.”
The head of country’s counter narcotic directorate Mirza M. Seifi said these much drugs were smuggled into Herat which is used for making Heroin.
This the second time this year that the security forces burn drug shipment in Herat province.
